Picking Market Bottoms 2

Picking Market Bottoms 2

A few key technicals on the following example in the order of them occurring

i) Reference the current All-Time High (soon to be broken and obliterated!)

ii) Bull Trap!

  1. Long bear market
  2. Spike lows on high volume, “Capitulation”
  3. Higher low may form, or a lower low, but the close is higher than the previous major low
  4. Accumulation; stock/ asset trading in a narrow range at low levels
  5. High volume breakout of accumulation zone occurs as a selling pressure has dried up leaving only buyers
  6. Stock dries up during re-accumulation zone; profit takers run out, buying demand still high!
  7. Another increased volume breakout of the re-accumulation zone; we always want to see high volume breakouts as strong confirmation
  8. Market speed increasing; the train is beginning to leave the station - Last call! All aboard!
  9. We hit the old All-Time High! Asset may pause, fall quickly, or break through quickly here. The best-case scenario is we see a retest of the now previous all-time high price or close prices.
